PUBLIC MEETING: Fair for Farmers in the Waikato
- Apr 2
- 1 min read
New Zealand banned sow stalls. We banned battery cages. But more than 60% of the pork on our shelves is imported from countries that still use them. If it's not legal to farm that way here, why is it legal to sell it here?
Come and hear dairy farmer Walt Cavendish lay out what's actually going on, and what needs to change.
Walt will cover the animal welfare gap on imports, why it matters for farmers and Kiwis alike, what options exist to close it, and where the campaign is heading. Followed by open discussion and time for questions.
This is not about slogans or politics. It’s about facts, fairness and backing New Zealand farmers. If you care about farming, food standards, or fairness, be in the room.
